There are three general options when it comes to reroofing services, depending on the extent of damage, previous maintenance work and roof material.
Reroofing: This is the general term for the process of replacing or covering over an existing roofing system. We will recommend this option to homeowners when their roof is at the end of its lifespan, but is still in overall good structural health. Reroofing will help to fix minor issues such as leaks, but not major damage like missing shingles or mildew growth.
Roof Recover: The simplest and most cost-effective option involves adding a second layer of shingles or roofing covering over your existing system. Since we do not remove the first layer this does not require a lot of time, labor or materials. Keep in mind this is not an option for all homeowners; if you already have two layers of shingles we are not permitted to add a third. Also, a roof recover will not last as long as a complete roof replacement. Finally, this will not repair any major damage including rotting, sagging or structural issues.
Roof Replacement: If your current roof is past the stage of reroofing restoration a replacement must be installed to ensure the safety of your family. TQRR will completely remove the existing covering, repair all damages then install the new roofing material. New roof installation projects are generally complete within 2 – 3 days (weather permitting) and can last 20+ years with regular maintenance inspections and small repairs.
